gets dirtyAug 13, 2010 As another reviewer said "It gets filthy. And we're talking a black ring on the seal." Same thing happened to my cap, and I've only been using my bottle for 3 months (plus I wash it every week with a brush). All I can say is be extra vigilant when washing the bottle and cap to prevent this. In addition, although the bottle doesn't leak, I have noticed that when I unscrew the bottle, a bit of water tends to spit out of the mouth (perhaps b/c of air pressure???)
Overall a decent product that I would recommend.

Give it a good screw!Jun 26, 2010 This handy replacement saved me from having to repurpose my first Sigg as a vase when I lost the cap. Then I found a cap-less Hello Kitty Sigg at a thrift shop for two dollars. A thorough scrubbing, a new cap... and voila! Color me happy.
I'm surprised this product has any negative reviews... I don't understand what there is to complain about. The cap keeps the water in and has a ring for your finger. (They liked it, so they put a ring on it.)
If it gets dirty, wash it. If you don't want to have to turn it seven times to take it off, don't turn it seven times when you put it on. (And really, who buys a screw top and then complains about having to unscrew it?)
I haven't tried the other style caps, so maybe I don't know what I'm missing... but I'm very happy with this one and glad I was able to purchase extras.

Proud little bottle stopperApr 06, 2010 This is a fine plug to keep the water (or gin or what have you) from flying out of your sigg bottle in all directions.

SIGG put BPA in bottles and lied to consumers - Google the SIGG BPA recallNov 20, 2009 Now that I know SIGG knowingly lied to consumers (including me in an email exchange I had with the company) about BPA in their bottles, I would NEVER BUY A SIGG AGAIN. I purchased a SIGG for the same reasons I purchase organic food, I thought it was safer for my children. But SIGG betrayed that trust. The company DID put BPA in its liners and lied to all of us. In fact, I've contacted the firm Caddell & Chapman about the class action lawsuit. I bought a SIGG to be safe and they deceived and lied to make more money. Now all they will offer is to exchange my BPA bottle for a new one. Oh, ya, sure, I trust you now. Just give me a new bottle. I want my money back and I'll hope that my kids were not affected by the BPA you snuck into the bottle. What a bunch of jerks!
