leaks at handleAug 24, 2010 I have returned four of these 12 cup perks and all four of them had a leak in the handle. Called the company and they said to return and to pay the return postage. That would have cost me more than the perk itself.
Great Little PotJun 06, 2010 Great pot. I used a regular sized filter with a hole in the middle to fit inside the coffee basket. I then wrapped the sides of the filter down on top of the coffee to keep it all in place. Worked great and our camping neighbors were jealous of our freshly made coffee every morning. I also used this pot to make sweet tea - awesome little pot.
nice potNov 23, 2009 I chose this one for my 'base camp' pot as it's a multi-purpose that can be used to cook in as well without the inner parts. The tilt handle is nice (still use gloves!) and it has held up well to a season's worth of use on the camp grill and over the fire.
For me, It's not a backpack item as it's a bit big for that, but in camp it heats quickly, seems to clean up well too. I threw away the inner parts upon getting it as I like 'cowboy coffee' so I have no idea how those parts work, but it does work well as either a coffee or cooking pot.

Good pot for coffee or water...Nov 16, 2008 This is a very good aluminum pot, which I mostly use just for heating water. It works okay for brewing coffee. The handles are strong (a bit stiff at first), and the lid fits snugly.

DisappointedMar 30, 2008 I was disappointed in this item. It is more like a camping kettle than something you use at home. Guess I should have taken more notice of the title. Anyway, it has been sent to the RV and I got a better one from Kmart for hubby to use in the house.
